How does ProVision authenticate users? Does ProVision use LDAP?

Solution         ProVision, has authentication built in also, which it uses when it accesses a local repository. The authentication of users is handled by ProServer whenever a user wants to copy data out of a remote ProServer managed database. ProVision v 4.4 can use LDAP authentication, if you supply an LDAP URL to specify an LDAP server. This is a setting which the user enters in Tools > Preferences.

LDAP was implemented for ProVision client to connect to team repositories that are housed in a server with LDAP directory.

Currently, LDAP is not support in ProServer. It will be released in a future release. However, in terms of security, ProServer can be configure to run under the SSL/HTTPs.
